Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a nice panoramic view of the street, and though there was some noise from the bar in the evening and the dustcart in the morning, the room was well-equipped and clean, providing a small but satisfactory space. The service was friendly and welcoming but lacked a bit in terms of noise insulation. The location was superb, right in the center of St Andrews, within easy reach of all amenities and sightseeing venues. The dining experience, while with a good selection, had some issues with temperature and quality. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while nicely furnished with windows on both ends, were not as clean as I'd have liked, with visible dust and cobwebs. The lack of a proper extra bed for our daughter was a downside. The service was excellent in terms of hospitality, but at breakfast, the staff seemed a bit frazzled. The location was ideal, just steps away from the 18th hole, in town with a view of the sea, perfect for visiting our son at the university. The dining options were limited, but the good choice of cereals and toast made up for it.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the beach and the main high street, making it very convenient. The service was top-notch with friendly and helpful staff who were attentive to safety measures. On the downside, the room in the garden had a view of an air duct and was quite dark, requiring the lights to be on all the time. The dining experience fell short with limited options and cold food. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's strategic location and attentive service stood out.
The hotel is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and the university, making it ideal for exploring St Andrews. The service was outstanding, quick, and attentive to high standards. The dining experience offered freshly cooked dishes with good variety, catering well to dietary needs. However, the room in the annex of the main house lacked warmth and coziness in the mornings due to radiator thermostats. Overall, a recommended stay for its excellent service and location.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were superb, spacious, and well-decorated with excellent facilities, including a luxurious bathroom. However, the room on the second night had a disappointing view and lacked natural light, requiring the lights to be on all the time.
The hotel is in a superb location, right in the center of St Andrews close to Old Course and all amenities. The rooms, though compact, were clean and very comfortable, facing onto Playfair street. The staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. However, the breakfast experience could be improved. The proximity to the town center and helpful staff make it a great choice for exploring the area.
